KBS was hired by a private developer to transform a former sewage treatment lagoon into a small boutique living environment.

The Preserve is a 35 lot, single-family subdivision featuring southern vernacular architecture along Gills Creek in downtown Columbia, SC. The development incorporates the effective preservation of greenspace among wooded hills and creeks in common areas and smart growth principles to cluster smaller lots in the center of the tract.
